FIVE CLOWNS- show / hide -

Five clowns ( one of whom is named Vargo) are scheduled to perform their acts at a certain time (one is scheduled to perform at 5:15pm). Each clown has his own unique trick ( one makes seals jump through hoops). From the clues given below, can you name the clown , the time he is to perform and his special trick?

CLUES: (show/hide)

    Vargo is scheduled to perform before the one who does tricks with elephants, but after Largo.

    Bargo is not scheduled to perform either last, nor first.

    Margo has a wonderful tricycle high-wire riding act.

    The Seals are scheduled to go on before the monkeys, who go on after the one who makes balloon animals (which is also the shortest act), who is not Argo, who is not performing at 5:15pm.

    Largo performs three hours before Margo, and will not be using real animals in his act.

    Vargo is scheduled to appear at least one hour before one act and at least one hour , (but not two) after the first act.

Five Siblings (one is Fran) live on a farm. Each must perform a chore ( including milking a cow ) on a specific day of the week (Mon-Fri).If each of them performs a certain task on a given day and at a specific time( either 5am, 6am, 7am,8am, 9am), from the clues provided below can you determine which sibling performed which task at which time on which day?

Fran's mending fence day is neither tuesday nor thursday, and is completed earlier in the week than at least one other person.

The one who goes to market goes later in the week than Carl, and earlier in the morning than Nan, but later in the morning than Fran.

Adam does not plant the corn, or go to market , his chore is completed before 9am, but not before 6am on his assigned day of monday.

No one performs a chore on Thursday at 7am.

Mike's chore is completed earlier in the day than at least 3 others, but later in the week than at least three others.

One man collects eggs, another man milks Bessie, the goat.

The milk is collected earlier in the week than the woman who plants the corn, which is not planted before wednesday.

The eggs must be collected at 7 am., but never on mondays or fridays.

All the other chores must be complete before Mike goes to the market.

From the clues provided can you solve the puzzle?

The Nurse(Ginger) received twice as much Candy as the vampire.

Sam received half as much as Bart (who was not dressed as a princess or a ghoul).

Six horses(one named Speedy) were entered into the Grand-Town Derby, by their owners(one was named Midi).Each horse finished the race in some order(1 through 6), each horse also has a peculiar characteristic( one was spotted).
From the clues below can you determine which Horse had which characteristic, and owner , and the order of finish of them in the Derby?

Matty's horse(Laughy) finished 5th, and was not Black.

Paul's horse (Diamond)was not a winner.

The horse named Fanny was the one with the speckles or spots.

Giddy-up, Speedy, and Diamond finished (in some order) in the top three, as were the following owners Thom, Midi and Paul, whose horses had these characteristics: Grey, White, and Silver( also, in some order).

Speedy the white horse owned by Midi, finished either 1st or 2nd.

Shorty owned either the Spotted horse or Willow, the one that finished last.

Madge does not own the horse that finished 4th.

The winning horse did not have a white or silver tail.

Seven families ( including the Yorks) , recently had pizza parties at their homes. Each family ordered different amounts of pies ( one ordered 7 ) , for their guests and each family also ordered a specific topping ( one ordered extra cheese ).
From the clues provided can you determine which family bought which pizza, how many, and the topping they ordered as well?

The families who ordered the most and fewest pies were ( in some order ) the Malones and the Kellys.

The Baker's ordered twice as many pies as the Andrew's family ( who ordered Bacon pies).

The Green's ( who ordered pineapple toppings ) ordered more than 7, but less than 14 pies .

The Smith Family ordered 11 sausage pizzas.

The Kelly s ordered 7 less pies than the Baker's who ordered 1 less than the Smiths had.

The number of Bacon pies was less than one-half of the number of Vege pies ordered ( which was more than 8 ).

The Baker family did not order pepperoni or extra cheese.

The Andrew's ordered less pies than the York's, who did not order extra cheese.

There were more Mushroom pies ordered than Pepperoni, but less than the Vegetarian ( which the Baker's did not order ).

In the distant future , in a galaxy not unlike our own , there is a planet named Myrth which has seven interplanetary robotic automated space probes ( one named II32 ), scheduled to Launch( sometime starting Mar through December) to seven nearby planets ( including HNG-3J ) , which are different distances ( one is 11 light years ) away from Myrth.
From the clues provided can you determine which probe will visit which planet, the distance they will travel , and the month they are scheduled to depart?

Planet P and HNG-3J are the same distance away from Myrth, and are scheduled for Mar. and Nov. departures ( in some order ) .

The automated probe HBOT is scheduled to visit GALAXIA( which is 8 light years from Myrth ) in June.

The probes Ang and Clon are scheduled to depart later than at least 4 other probes, and will not be traveling the shortest or the longest distances.

The planets : DW 14Y and SE7E are ( in order ) , are the longest and shortest away.

The first 2 probes scheduled for departure are MXX and the one that travels to SE7E.

Glan will visit either Proto X or Cyg-35b sometime in August.

Dub will wind up travelling the furthest distance, but is not scheduled to depart until after II32.

Planet P is further away than Proto X, but it's probe is not scheduled to depart until at least 5 other planet's probes are launched.

Ang is the final automated probe scheduled this year, and it will travel exactly 6 lt. years to reach its destination.
